Construction Site Security

Access control at the gate, plant and materials protection, and out-of-hours cover for live and dormant sites.

Construction sites combine high-value, portable assets with a boundary that changes week by week and a workforce that turns over constantly. Tool theft, fuel siphoning and plant loss are so common they are frequently priced in as an accepted cost, which they should not be.

Construction site security

Daytime access control

A manned gate does more than deter theft. It logs who is on site for fire roll call, keeps unauthorised visitors out, and gives the site manager an accurate record of contractor attendance.

Out-of-hours protection

Evenings, weekends and shutdown periods are when the losses happen. Cover can be a static officer, scheduled patrols or a K9 team, depending on the size of the site and how often it has been hit.

Adapting as the site changes

A site perimeter at groundworks is not the perimeter at first fix. We review coverage as the build progresses rather than deploying the same arrangement for eighteen months.

Common questions

Construction Site Security FAQs

Do your officers hold CSCS cards?

Where a site requires it, we deploy officers with the appropriate site card and inductions completed before the first shift.

Is a dog team better than a static officer?

On large sites with multiple access points, usually yes. A handler and dog covers ground that a static officer cannot, and the deterrent effect is significantly stronger.

Can you cover a paused or dormant site?

Yes. Paused sites are among the most frequently targeted, and cover can be scaled down rather than removed entirely.
